We are looking for a responsible Production Lead for a food production company in Hayward. The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing, and ensuring that production operations run smoothly, and efficiently, through monitoring employees and organizing workflows. The Production Lead optimizes day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs.

Schedule: Swing shift (2:30pm – 11pm)
Pay rate: $20-$24

Responsibilities: 
· Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
· Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
· Oversee, evaluate, and coach employees
· Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
· Check production output according to specifications ·
· Submit reports on performance and progress
· Assist QA with monitoring and performing USDA/FSIS critical control points (CCP) process forms
· Monitor product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process · Perform sanitation verification and controlling allergen cross contamination on equipment and other areas required.
· Accurately recording and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation
· Ensure the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing
· Ensure employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices and work under the production manager and assess disciplinary actions when needed.
· Assist the QA Manager and Production Manager to ensure and educate employees on food safety and BRC/SQF standards, understands and practices GMP
·Assist QA with performing inspections on Products, Equipment and Machinery · Identify issues in efficiency, suggests improvements, and actively participates with the implementation process
· Train new and current employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
· Follow and enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
· Follow and enforce GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
· Other duties as assigned

Requirements 
· Ability to speaking, reading and writing in English
· Bilingual – Spanish  or Vietnamese/Chinese a plus
· Be respectful and approachable
· Proficient in MS Office
· Experience as Production Lead or similar role in the USDA/FSIS food manufacturing field
· Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
· Problem-solving (Assess situations, Recognize and manage disagreements)
· Ability to prioritize tasks
·  Ability  to Convey information effectively (communicate the right information in the right way to motivate and inspire their team)
·  Ability to Listen actively: Understand and incorporate employee feedback
