Job description
Use sit-down forklift (clamp) and to move products on and off trucks while following all regulatory and safety rules by company safety standards, policies, and procedures. You will verify the inventory and visually inspect the quality of the product. Experience with operating different types of forklifts is a plus.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Read and follow computerized and written work orders to determine quantities and types of products to be shipped.
- Effectively operated forklifts and transport products between loading, unloading, processing and storage areas.
- Inspect forklift components before beginning operation.
- Document and report damages to supervisors or leads.
- Pack, seal, and label materials prepare pallets for shipping using Radio Frequency (RF) scanning equipment to document and verify counts of picked items.
- Alert appropriate leader of any issues with the product or materials and await directions to rectify the problem.
- Help clean and organize the warehouse at the end of the shift.
- Use forklift to stack pallets and transport them to designated areas of the warehouse.
- Shipping/Receiving, off loading and loading of boxes palletized and non-palletized.
- Pulled orders on the forklift daily.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
- Must be able to identify products through reading, interpreting, and scanning pallet identification numbers.
- Ability to understand instructions in English and Spanish
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in low/high temperatures provided personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lb.+ if needed.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Work well in a team-oriented environment
- Comfortable working in a dross dock/manufacturing/distribution facility.
- Must be comfortable with fast-paced work.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) +
- Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.
- Must be forklift certified.
Pay Range: $18.00-$20.25hr.
Schedules: Will be determined upon job placement, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift positions will vary.
