We are looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician. This person will be responsible for performing facility, and machine maintenance work, as directed, and assists in helping others in maintenance department project work.

Schedule: M-F 3pm to 11:30pm
Training will be conducted in the morning 
Pay rate: $20-$25

Responsibilities:
• Perform repairs as needed to industrial processing and packaging machinery including: Mixers, Conveyors, Fryers, Spiral Freezers, Pumps, Motors, Controls, etc.
• Perform repairs to facility utilities including: plumbing, light fixtures, electrical outlets, HVAC, etc.
• Respond promptly, safely and efficiently while utilizing all GMP and HACCP standards.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment and facility.
• Communication and record keeping of repairs, PM's, and project updates.
• Assist with shop organization and cleanliness of spare part inventory and tools.
•Assist with in-house projects including: metal fabrication, upgrades in both electrical, mechanical, and facilities up keep (patching, painting & caulking)
• Available for occasional shift change to perform needed repairs, in-house projects, and PM's after production hours, weekends or holidays.
• Must be able to order parts and machinery when needed • Available on call for emergency repairs.
• Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
• Comply with all safety rules and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Manufacturing or related field is a plus
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
• Basic computer and report writing skills
• Basic math skills
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience as an industrial maintenance technician
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
• Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment

Physical Requirements:
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
• Ability to withstand cold temperatures working inside the freezer with protective clothing for periods of time

Must be available to work a staggered schedule, overtime, holidays, Saturday and Sunday based on organizational needs.
