Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Weighing Associate to join a fast-paced food/nutraceutical manufacturing team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for accurately weighing and preparing raw materials according to approved product formulations and batch records in preparation for further processing. This role supports Pre?Weigh department operations, ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and contributes to a positive, efficient, and compliant work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review work orders, formulas, and Master Manufacturing Records (MMRs) to determine production specifications and requirements.
- Analyze and interpret formulas, data, and documentation to determine proper weighing methods and required measuring instruments.
- Accurately weigh raw materials in accordance with formulas, batch records, and production documentation.
- Work with both simple and complex formulas, following detailed instructions precisely.
- Perform equipment checks and testing to ensure weighing instruments are properly set up and functioning correctly.
- Clean, maintain, repair, and calibrate measuring instruments and test equipment, including dial indicators, fixed gauges, and height gauges.
- Pull raw materials from the warehouse per pick lists and production documents; ensure all materials have valid green “released” stickers prior to use.
- Clean and prepare storage containers for pre?weighed material storage.
- Ensure pre?weighed materials are properly identified, labeled, covered, and stored at all times.
- Attach or mark raw material identification on all product containers.
- Record operational and production data accurately on required forms and production documents.
- Prepare premixes using a small blender; sanitize equipment after each use, notify QC for hygiene swab testing, and complete all required cleaning logs.
- Clean and sanitize all equipment at the conclusion of each production run.
- Transfer pre?weighed materials and completed production documentation to the Blending Department for further processing.
- Return unused raw materials to designated warehouse locations or update inventory records when materials are relocated.
- Use the ERP system to locate raw materials, research discrepancies, transfer inventory locations, and support inventory accuracy.
- Communicate with Customer Service, Product Development, and Quality teams regarding batch record changes or corrections.
- Monitor quality control and operational procedures and report potential improvements or concerns.
- Support the Pre?Weigh team in meeting or exceeding production goals and performance expectations.
- Track production activity and assist in motivating the department to achieve operational targets.
- Perform all duties in accordance with SOPs, GMPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–3 years of related experience preferred.
- Commitment to excellence and high-performance standards
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of production processes and quality control practices preferred
- Food or nutraceutical manufacturing experience preferred
- GMP and SQF experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- Working knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics as applied to manufacturing operations
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Understanding of safety requirements and workplace hazards
- Ability to perform required physical labor safely
- Sound judgment and ability to make timely, accurate decisions
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Bilingual skills are a plus
