Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced yard manager with expertise in horticultural growing yards production, proven success with cultivating high-performing teams to achieve exceptional results.
What You Will Do
- Oversee day-to-day tasks in Propagation.
- Maintain or supervise daily crew labor tracking in current database.
- On a regular basis, inform crew of their performance by reviewing their production rates.
- Ensure all tasks in Propagation are accomplished using established protocols.
- Maintain daily inventory of liners during all stages in the Propagation process.
- Assist Propagation Manager to ensure all cutting, sticking, and transplanting of liners is complete by the required date based off production plan.
- Perform physical inventories of supplies and submit orders to vendors as needed.
- Manage the transplant process from propagation to final planting, ensuring that plants are healthy and ready for cultivation.
- Train and supervise the transplant team, ensuring that all staff follow proper transplanting protocols and techniques.
- Oversee the tracking and inventory of all plants, ensuring that they are properly labeled and recorded in the system.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a regulated industry in Agriculture industry
- Hands on experience working in the field with growers.
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of maintaining equipment, tools, and tractors.
- Excellent Excel/spreadsheet skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Ability to prioritize tasks and re-evaluate as situations change. Capable of leveraging the team and resources to maximize individual’s potential and achieve personal/company goals.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and time management skills.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial openness and ability to explore new opportunities for solving problems and enhancing performance.
- Demonstrated business acumen; able to assess financial implications of decisions and actions; able to understand how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace and impact the company.
- Performs other duties as required by senior management.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position,
- Typical work hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Must have open availability.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Salary: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
