Schedule:
1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM with possibility of working overtime.
2nd Shift Monday-Friday 1:00PM-9:30PM with possibility of working overtime.
Job Description:
The Material Handler is responsible for performing material handling functions to support all internal and external customers in an accurate and timely manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Minimum of 6 months of experience driving Sit-down Forklift (Propane)
• Loads and unloads trucks, verifies load lists, and moves materials and items to storage, production, service, office, or other designated areas.
• Responsible for loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
• Performing cycle counts and inventory management.
• Stack / load pallets and transport material by operating various types of material handling equipment (e.g., forklift)
• Inspecting in-bound/out-bound material for damage and proper documentation.
• Notifies manager or coworkers of shortages, discrepancies, or anticipated needs.
• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering materials and supplies
• Performs all assigned work effectively and on schedule and accurately follows instructions.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
– Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the propane sit-down forklift.
– Must Be eligible to work in the United States.
– Must be able to work in an outdoor work environment.
– Must be prepared to work with packaged/non-packaged expired food products.
